The non-profit organization Fondo Nazionale del settore del credito per progetti di solidarietà-onlus PROSOLIDAR (National Fund for solidarity projects of the banking sector)– was created by all Italian credit sector trade unions together with the Association of Italian Banks, (ABI) as a result of their long term engagement in solidarity projects. The past positive experience in this field, has contributed to the decision of setting up this initiative, which is completely new in the European and worldwide scenario of industrial relations. The Fund is the first and unique experience of a Body created by the parties of a national agreement fully dedicated to solidarity projects. The fund is built through the mechanism of the match gifting consisting in the banks offering donation  to match those of their employees’, this is to say companies and workers equally sharing the contribution.
